Film Review: No One Sleeps in the Woods Tonight (2020)

And now for some more Netflix Horror with  No One Sleeps in the Woods Tonight (2020)! Warning: SPOILERS . Welcome to Adrenaline: Offline Trekking Camp, where teenagers are forced to spend time away from computers, mobile phones, and other electronic devices with Internet access. Unfortunately, at around the same time the new crop of campers arrive, 2 seemingly unstoppable cannibal twins escape from the basement where they've been kept for years by their fearful mother... This seemed to be a fun, gory, Friday, the 13th -type slasher and I was eagerly anticipating the reactions of the OTT enthusiastic camp staff and the bloody chaos caused by the killer duo. Unfortunately, they never get close to the camp and instead come across a small group of campers - Zosia, Julek, Bartek, Aniela, and Daniel - and their group leader, Iza. There's also a random detour into the nearby church that looked more like an excuse for killing an evil priest than anything else. The characters are thinl

Film Review: Night Wolf (2010)

It appears we're going through a werewolf phase, as after Werewolves of the Third Reich and before the upcoming Lycanthia review, we've watched Night Wolf (2010). Warning: SPOILERS . Sarah returns home after spending some time in the US only to find her family in shambles. However, things get significantly worse when a wolf-like creature attacks the house, killing whomever it catches. There are some good moments as the group, which also includes Sarah's 2 other brothers, Charlie and Luke, and 2 more friends, Doug and Gary, sneak around the house, trying to avoid the creature, but some of the attacks were shot in a confusing way. We also don't see nearly enough, which isn't necessarily a problem, though it's an odd choice for a movie featuring a brutal creature th

TV Review: Terror Tuesday Extreme (2024)

It’s time for some more Netflix horror in the form of Thai series Terror Tuesday Extreme (2024)! It’s based on Terror Tuesday, a radio show where people share strange stories and has 8 episodes. First, we’ll do short reviews of each episode, then rank them, and finally give our verdict on the series as a whole. Warning: SPOILERS . EPISODE 1: OUR LITTLE SISTER Aye and her mother are still grieving the death of her sister Elle in a car crash. However, Aye’s mother chooses a rather odd way to deal with it - she asks a sorcerer to bind her daughter’s soul to a doll… Dolls are always creepy, and this one is no exception. There are also a bunch of rules that must never be broken or else, and it doesn’t take long for ‘Elle’ to start influencing Aye’s mother and turning her against her remaining daughter. Unfortunately, and this is something we will be saying a lot, the series decided to complicate things with a couple of last minute twists. So, after Aye makes a desperate attempt to break th
